Mear One Print

Mear One, a very talented painter, spray, sketch, and live artist has been a busy bee as usual. He's cranked out the canvass work, among other projects. Before us is his rendition of Plato's "The Allegory Of The Cave". Being a Psychology student, I got extremely excited when I saw this painting, as I saw the interpretation before I ever ready his words:

"This was a symbolic interpretation of Plato’s radical poem called “The Allegory Of The Cave” written some 2,500 years ago. It’s meaning was to explore the human need to grow and learn, curiosity and complacency are the polarities of this tale in which I love to illustrate. This piece is telling how we all hold the key to our liberation and what happens when we unconsciously give our attention to the system."
