Saturday, September 4th was the opening night of a very spectacular event running at Toy Art Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. Gino, owner of TAG opened his doors and rolled out the red carpet (literally) as he welcomed fans and artists into his gallery for the Red Carpet Kaiju Group Show.
Artists in attendance during the opening included Bert Gatchalian, Paul Kaiju and Carlos Enriquez Gonzalez.
The event was a great success, as the shelves were overflowing with vibrant, intoxicatingly original Kaiju pieces. The figures came from all over the globe, including pieces of Carlos Enriquez Gonzalez of Venezuela.
If you were unable to attend the show, sit back and relax.... pop a cold one and watch the slide show... it covers ALL pieces that were and are currently on display at TAG. Most of the pieces sold out hours before the show ever opened, and obviously with good reason, as they are spectacular!
Buff Monster 'Beyond The Pink'

Buff Monster's 'Beyond The Pink' show opened this Saturday, September 4th at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, CA. KollectibleKulture was on site, mingling with the guests and chatting it up with the Buff himself. Personally, I had never been to the gallery, so I had no clue what was in store for me.
When I got out of my car, a full block away, I was intoxicated by music and the chatter of amused attendees. Upon approaching the entrance, I was given a ticket for FREE PINK ICE CREAM. That in iteself, dope. There was a truck just outside the front door for those who wanted to cash in on that freebie deal.
Music blared, patrons chatted and drank from the open bar as they enjoyed Buff Monster's pieces. It was extremely hard to get photographs here, as there were so many admirers, I often found myself fighting an elbow in the chest just to get a shot. But I did my best for you!
As you can probably imagine, Buff Monster was extremely busy entertaining friends and chatting it up with various patrons, artists, media... so I didn't take up too much of his time. I will tell you this, he is extremely relieved the show has finally come and he can now relax. At least for a day or so, as there really is no rest for the wicked, now is there?
Celsius Custom Show @ Toy Art Gallery (TAG) LA 7/10/10
The lineup at this event was beyond surreal, as you can tell by the artists above. These were just a few of the dozens upon dozens involved. Among others: DrilOne, Task One, Leecifer, Kat Brunnegraff... you get the Idea. The doors opened and the place was packed! I didn't even get a video because we got there 'on time' and there were already too many people.
