Kidrobot X Skullcandy - Agent
Thanks to the awesome crew over at Kidrobot, we got our hands on the new Agent headphones which are a Kidrobot X Skullcandy collaboration. I can honestly say, when I opened the box, I was so excited to take out the headphones and use them! I could hardly contain myself. :)
The headphones are a very finely crafted product, which both Kidrobot and Skullcandy should find themselves very proud, having produced them.

"A sonic saboteur de force, the Agent model features hi-fidelity sound and a contour so sleek it's virtually undetectable by enemy radar. Whether dicctated by expedience or personal preference, sometimes you've got to keep a low profile and tread lightly. Blue and white with a pop of magenta, the Agent is an over-ear headphone with contour frame design bearing the Kidrobot logo, soft leather-touch ear pillows is paired with a satin travel bag, and packaged in blister."
It really is high fidelity sound meets beautiful plastic with this item!
Let's talk features for a moment. The speaker diameter is 40mm, it has a contour frame design, soft leather-touch pillows and a satin travel bag (as stated in previous quote). Let me tell you from personal experience with these bad boys.... they fit the ears like a glove and sound spectacular! Whether you like Pop, reggae, or something completely different, you will enjoy listening to your beats with the Agent headphones.
For those of you who are dying to know the specs: magnet type: NdFeB, Frequency response: 19-20K Hz, Impedance: 32 ohms, Max input power: 30mW, Cable length: 1.2m, Plug type: 3.5MM Gold Plated
*yeah, the above means absolutely nothing to me, but I know a lot of you out there understand it..... :)
I would definitely recommend picking up a pair of these for yourself or as a gift, they are a must for any Kidrobot or music buff out there. And the price, not too bad at all at $59.95.

Timebandits Presents - Frankie "The Timebandit"
The guys over at
timebanditswatches.com really did a good job at bringing Frankie to life. It would be cool to possibly see some other colorways and characters in the near future, however Frankie is definitely a good platform. We enjoyed how the timebandit watches were incorporated into the design, and cannot wait to see what is next for timebandit watches!
Here is what the folks who created Frankie have to say:
"Frankie 'The Timebandit' is a gangster superhero. He can travel through time, stop time, and is the supreme bandit of time. His powerful 'time travel' watches allow hiim to break the space-time continuum in order to right evil and tyranny. He seeks out others who have the potential for 'time travel' who also possess gangster superpowers of their own. He slings watches to these select few. They become the chosen ones who will join together to form a league of time traveling, gangester superheroes known as 'timebandits.'
If you are online and have some time, take a look at their many cool watch ideas and designs. Be sure to pick one up for yourself!

*Produkt Review* 2011 Nintendo 3DS
KollectibleKulture got its geek fix in the form of a Nintendo 3DS. After a few hours of play time, we thought we would offer up a produkt review for you folks. Upon opening the box you will find the manual packed away with tons of goodies in the form of papers. Under this massive pile we found our new 3DS along with its docking station and power cord. We wasted no time in tearing open the packaging in anticipation of getting to our new 3DS. Lucky for us, the system came with a charged battery. After setting up the standard date, time, username... (you know all the fun stuff), we dove into the games. We just couldn't resist! Obviously we picked up Super Street Fighter 4 because you can never go wrong with anything Street Fighter.
Okay, so let's get down to it. The unit itself is a little bit heavier than the standard Nintendo DS, but the screen and graphics look much, much better. Upon seeing our first 3D effects on the systemm, we couldn't help but get giddy like a child in a candy store. The system is definitely a solid one, we can see a lot of future potential here. Some of the 3D effects are worth showing off right out of the box and others are great but need some polishing.
The user interface is very simple. The only drawback we can see right now is there is no internet browser connectivity. This is so until there is a future update. We are looking forward to downloadable content and old skool games. Another cool thing, the 3D camera.... it was fun to point to items, click watch them in the 3rd dimension.
Our overall impression of the 3DS is that there is some room for improvement, sure, but we can see a lot of solid future fun one there are more titles and downloadable content. Get one while you can because they are predicting a shortage in the near future due to the unfortunate problems in Japan.
*Produkt Review* 2011 Huck Gee Skullhead Dunny
KollectibleKulture was able to get our hands on the new Huck Gee Skullhead Dunny. The packaging was basically the same as the 2010 San Diego Comic Con release with the exception of what's INSIDE the package. Upon removing the Dunny from the package we see the additional plastic that is used to protect the body from scrapes and scuffs. And once we removed the Dunny completely we realized the QC was much better than the 2010 SDCC release. The paint job was really nice, as were the overall details of this figure. The only problem some Kollectors may have would be it being such a vibrantly white vinyl, some may come smudged or dirty from the factory. Overall this will be an awesome addition to your Huck Gee Kollection. Seeing how his Kustom figures are extremely expensive, to say the least, it is nice these type of Huck pieces are more attainable to everyday Kollectors.*Produkt Review* Blankie Series 1
Kollectible Kulture was able to get our hands on some Blankie series 1 figures, thanks to the wonderful staff at Aarting. We enjoyed these figures very much, as they are so fun and bold. One of the most interesting aspects we noted was the adorable shape, including those cute little butts.
They have put a lot of detail in the designs, which must have been quite difficult seeing as how the figures are small, with a unique curvature. Another high point, was who did the actual designing. We found it extremely refreshing that the list of artists was so diverse, veereing away from the typical artists you see on many other series, like the Dunny series for example.
*Produkt Review* Kidrobot X Simpsons Series 2
It’s been a while since we saw the original Simpsons series figures come out… did you get yours? That particular series had some great, hard to track down pieces such as the Funzo figure. Series one was such as success it left people yearning for another go at a fantastic Kidrobot X Simpsons (Matt Groening) collaboration.

Series one was such as success it left people yearning for another go at a fantastic Kidrobot X Simpsons (Matt Groening) collaboration.
The very interesting, fun thing about this series is that it is not just a series, but more a set of series within a series. You have, for example the Mariachi Simpsons figures as well as the Zombie Simpsons figures, among others. What a brilliant idea! This will be one of those series that will be very hard to track down all figures. But… isn’t that half the fun for most of us???
Like I said, the official drop is tomorrow, so keep that in the back of your head when you wake up in the morning… don’t sleep in, and don’t sleep on this opportunity. I’m telling you guys, this series is going to fly! Especially with the ‘Halloween-like’ theme.
A big thank you goes out to Kidrobot for producing such rad items, and for making reviews at Kollectible Kulture possible!
Luckily, thanks to the fantastic crew over at Kidrobot, we were able to get our hand on a few before the release. Needless to say, we were very excited when the package arrived on our doorstep and more than eager to get our hands on what was inside those blind boxes!
The great thing about these figures is that by buying them you are supporting the toy Kulture we have all grown to love and depend on, as well as the people behind that Kulture, those who love toys and supporting the toy Kulture themselves.
The second series is being represented on kickstarter as Aarting tries to raise money for funding of the project in a whole. We wish the crew and the series all the success possible, because Aarting is making toys for all the right reasons. For instance, involving fans and artists alike, keeping it more in the toy community. We truly like the idea/concept behind Aarting.
The blankie series one are still available, pick up some of these classic designs before they disappear. Don’t hesitate to donate to make series 2 a reality. Let’s help support our toy Kommunity!
Right off the bat, we definitely noticed, with all eight of the blind boxes we opened, quality control was definitely on point. The figures were very sturdy indeed, following with the quality we have learned to expect and love from Kidrobot. One thing we did notice was that that some of the accessories were a tad on the soft side, making it slightly difficult to put the items into the hands of the figures. Nonetheless, the series is again great quality, and very nice looking, no disappointment here.
Well kiddos, your wish is their command! Releasing tomorrow, Thursday October 28, 2010 is indeed the Kidrobot X Simpsons Series 2.
*Produkt Review* 2Tone Dunny Series by Kidrobot
KollectibleKulture had the grand opportunity to review Kidrobot’s latest release, the Dunny 2Tone Series which dropped Thursday, September 23rd, 2010. As we opened the blind boxes, it was as if we were two kids in a candy store, yearning to see what Kidrobot had in store for us this time around. Without a doubt, the first thing we noticed was the quality control. Kidrobot had it right on point, which can definitely be difficult when dealing with the smaller toys, such as the 3” Dunny.
As Kidrobot takes on more projects in the future, I am hoping to see what we observed this time around; a more diversified lineup of artists involved. This is a fantastic concept as it allows the opportunity to showcase artists who some may not be as familiar with. It also gives the many talented artists a great opportunity to showcase their skills.
The 2Tone series released nipped right at the heels of the Dunny 2010 Series release. As we examined the 2Tone Series figures, we realized very quickly that a few of the 2010 series pieces would feel right at home in this series. Coincidence? Who knows… either way we were beyond satisfied to get our hands on a few of these designs.
The only thing we would have liked to see different, would be a slightly lower price point. However, it can be argued that this was definitely a more limited Dunny release. That being said, the price point is definitely justifiable.
We attended a local release party on the 23rd where the latest series was well received by fans and enthusiasts alike. We watched as the pile of cases dwindled to nothing as Dunny fanatics purchased blind box after case after blind box, opening them all on site.
All in all, we here at KollectibleKulture definitely think the 2Tone series is a winner. It felt more like an old school Kidrobot release where talent and true fans came together in a nostalgic way. We definitely hope to see Kidrobot continue to move in this direction.
If, by now your Kollection still does not include any 2Tone Series figures, snag some up while they are still available. These puppies are hot, and going fast. As stated before, this is a limited release, so keep that in mind when you are debating whether or not to purchase a few. They won’t be around much longer.. that’s for sure.
*Produkt Review* Plush Toilet Paper Cover by Bored Inc.
8/22/10
I was lucky enough to receive one of these cuties from Bored, Inc. and to be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this product. I was thinking it would be another cheap gimmick, but was more than pleasantly surprised when I opened the package to find a quality, affordable and cute as a button product.
Instructions were included and made me giggle:
1.) Take one naked roll of toiled paper
2.) Wiggle on your cover
3.) Voila!
A great idea for a fun party favor to hand out to guests, decorate your home or office bathroom, etc. This Plush Toilet Paper Cover paired with Stinky Poo is quite the dynamic duo and definitely a force to be reckoned with. I mean, see for yourself…

*Toy Review* Rotobox X Kuso Vinyl DIY Celsius Figure
For those of you who have not had the privilege of holding one of these figures in your hand... allow me. The above figure is a Do It Yourself Celsius Ganmetal vinyl figure by Rotobox Vinyl Anatomoica, available through Kuso Vinyl. The figure comes with a pair of wings and a backpack for accessories which are obviously removable. As you can tell by the measurements from the photo above, Celsius is no tiny toy. This DIY figure has smooth surfaces, flat, curved and precise points. We played with the wings a bit, heating them up and shaping them to give the Celsius, ironically, a more devilish, angel feel. All in all, this is a very clean figure and the perfect canvass to make just about anything happen. We've seen for ourselves some of the customs already being produced from this figure, and the opportunities really are limitless. In fact, check back with me tomorrow for one that will knock your socks off! 6/20/2010
